Call for Contributions (Closed)
We are pleased to invite contributions to our workshop “Beyond Soft Robotics: Pioneer Perspectives and Interdisciplinary Collaboration” at IEEE ICRA2020 in Paris on 31st, May, 2020.
We solicit your contributions to the workshop in the following two categories:
<1. Interdisciplinary Collaborative Case-studies>
We invite proposals for a 10-to-20 minutes talk reporting an interdisciplinary collaborative case-study on soft robotics. Each talk is expected to be an interactive dialogue between two speakers that can offer different perspectives on a soft robotics topic. Two or three proposals will be selected by the organizers and will be included in the workshop program.
Your proposal for this category should be 2 pages long, and include the following information:
– Title of your collaborative research
– Authors’ names and affiliations
– Email addresses
– Short abstract of your research
– Illustrative figure
– Reasons why your collaborative research is important for the whole soft robotics community
Please register your proposal HERE!
(*You will be instructed to submit your proposal by email during this registration. )
<2. Futuristic Demo Presentations>
We also invite proposals for unconventional demo presentations of soft robots. Ten-to-twenty proposals will be selected by the organizers. The main selection criterion will be demonstrating concept that go beyond soft robotics. The selected proposals will be showcased in two demo sessions taking place during the coffee breaks.
Your proposal for this category should be 1 pages long, and include the following information:
– Title of your demo presentation
– Authors’ names and affiliations
– Email addresses
– Short abstract of your demo
– Illustrative figure and/or movie
– Reasons why your demo demonstrates beyond-soft-robotics vision
Please register your proposal HERE!
(*You will be instructed to submit your proposal by email during the registration. )
Important Dates:
– Deadline of Proposals for the both categories: 12th March 2020.
– Notification of acceptance: 16th March 2020.
– Submission of camera-ready workshop abstracts and proof of workshop registration: 16th April 2020.
