Science of Soft Robots – Interdisciplinary integration of mechatronics, material science, and bio-computing

Events

2nd International Workshop on Science of Soft Robots (Invitational)

Date
2019 April 11-13
Place
Tokyo Institute of Technology, Tokyo (April 11), The Prince Hakone Lake Ashinoko, Hakone (April 12, 13)

Organizers

  • Prof. Koichi Suzumori, Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan.
  • Prof. Ryuma Niiyama, The University of Tokyo, Japan.
  • Prof. Shingo Maeda, Shibaura Institute of Technology, Japan.

Description of the workshop

In order to accelerate Japanese soft robotics researches more than ever, we invite active researchers from the world and hold the collaborative workshop. We aim mainly to collaborate internationally and to build up cooperative relationships to promote the keyword “fusion” in our research community. We hope to promote mutual exchange of researchers and students. Through these activities, we would like to disseminate excellent research results to the world. At the same time, we will enhance our presence and appeal to researchers in the world that Japan has played an important role in soft robotics. The workshop consists of invited talks and interactive sessions. An open discussion will be also held.
